- 2006: Production of the first generation Ford GT ends.
- 2015: Ford presents the Ford GT Concept Car, another new edition of the GT40.
- 2016: The second generation Ford GT is introduced. It is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 biturbo engine with 647 hp.
- 2022: Production of the second generation Ford GT ends.
The Ford GT was a huge success and received high praise from car magazines and critics. It was also a commercial success and is one of the most sought-after sports cars of its time.
